Job Purpose / Overview
The Digital Marketing Manager – CRM is responsible for building, scaling and optimising customer lifecycle communications across Mars Veterinary Health Europe (MVHE), supporting both Linnaeus (85+ brands across the UK) and AniCura (a unified brand across 18 European markets).
This is a hands-on technical role focused on execution, scalability and quality. The role will design and deploy CRM journeys at scale, enabling personalised, multi-language communication across a complex multi-brand, multi-market environment using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
The role plays a key part in supporting the transition from locally managed CRM activity to a centralised, scalable model.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Journey Development & Execution
Build and manage end-to-end journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder)
Develop dynamic, personalised email templates using AMPscript and data extensions
Configure and optimise data models, segmentation and automation workflows
Own email build, QA, testing and deployment processes
Implement advanced personalisation logic using AMPscript and dynamic content
Lifecycle Communications
Build and scale lifecycle journeys across:
New client registration
Pet lifecycle communications
Vaccination and medical reminders
Appointment follow-ups
Winback and re-engagement campaigns
Enable both pet-level and client-level targeting where data allows
Support delivery of marketing campaigns across multiple brands and markets
Multi-Market & Multi-Language CRM
Manage CRM builds across multiple countries, languages and brand structures
Build reusable frameworks for:
Multi-language content
Country-level variation
Brand-level customisation
Ensure consistent structure while allowing flexibility for local markets
Support translation workflows and localisation within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Quality Assurance & Optimisation
Own the end-to-end QA process, including:
Data validation
Personalisation accuracy
Email rendering across devices and inboxes
Ensure error-free deployment of all CRM campaigns
Troubleshoot and resolve build or data issues quickly
Build scalable CRM solutions designed for reuse and efficiency
Context & Scope
The Digital Marketing Manager – CRM works in close partnership with the MVHE Marketing and Client teams to deliver technical CRM execution at scale.
The role is responsible for building, testing and deploying all CRM journeys and campaign communications across both Linnaeus and AniCura, operating across multiple countries, languages and brand structures.
Success in this role requires deep Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise, strong attention to detail and the ability to build scalable, reusable frameworks that support the transition from local to centralised CRM delivery.
Experience Required
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (required)
Certifications in CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar) preferred
Knowledge & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio)
Advanced knowledge of AMPscript (essential)
Experience building dynamic, personalised email content at scale
Strong understanding of data extensions, segmentation and audience logic
Proven experience building end-to-end lifecycle journeys including triggered communications (e.g. onboarding, reminders, winback)
Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing principles
Experience working across multiple countries, languages and complex brand structures
Experience building translation-ready and localisation-friendly CRM frameworks
Strong attention to detail in QA and deployment
Ability to manage high volumes of CRM campaigns simultaneously
Ability to work at pace without compromising quality
Nice to Have
Experience with CDPs or data integration (e.g. Salesforce Data Cloud, APIs)
Experience with advanced personalisation tools (e.g. Moveable Ink)
Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, veterinary, or appointment-based services)
