Role Overview
The Senior P&O Data Analyst plays a critical role within the MVH Europe Data & Analytics function, designing and delivering high‑quality analytics, data models and visualisations that turn complex People & Organisation (P&O) data into clear, actionable insights. This role exists to support data‑driven decision‑making across the business, enabling leaders to make informed strategic and operational workforce decisions.
Working closely with P&O leadership and a broad range of stakeholders, the Senior P&O Data Analyst acts as both a technical expert and a trusted partner, shaping analytical solutions that directly support business goals. The role also provides leadership and mentoring to more junior analysts, ensuring delivery in line with best practice and contributing to the continuous development of the Data & Analytics capability.
This role sits within MVH Europe and is preferably based in Amsterdam, although candidates based in the UK will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior P&O Data Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, delivery managers, data engineers, data scientists and product managers to deliver robust, high‑impact analytics across the People & Organisation domain.
Key responsibilities include:
· Analytic Leadership: Take ownership for delivering end-to-end data products and analysis to answer business questions and solve business problems.
· Collaborate and Influence: Work with stakeholders to understand business questions and shape solutions to address their needs.
· Data Modelling: Explore, clean, and transform complex data sets of varying quality into well-structured tables for analysis.
· Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets and unveil insights that will propel our business forward.
· Visual Storytelling: Develop and maintain compelling data visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate the story behind the numbers, influencing key stakeholder decisions.
· Champion Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy and consistency and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Issue Resolution: Proactively and reactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data and dashboards.
· Delivery Management: Work in line with agreed D&A processes to ensure own projects are managed effectively.
· Quality Assurance: Review own work to ensure it meets scope and quality standards; conduct peer reviews to assure the work of others and provide QA sign-off for team deliverables.
· Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and data science, contributing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.
· Develop People: Line manage and coach more junior members of the team, supporting their technical and leadership skill development.
· Team Development: Contribute to improving processes and ways of working for the benefit of the whole team.
· Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical leader within the team for specific areas of capability, contributing to strategy development and implementation. AND/OR
· Domain Leadership: Serve as the data domain lead for People & Organisation domain – provide leadership to stakeholders on the use of data for decision-making, shape the domain roadmap for data and analytics,
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience
· Extensive experience (5+ years) in developing data analysis and visualizations using cloud-based tools (e.g. Power BI/Tableau, Databricks, SQL, Python, R)
· Experience working with workday and time and attendance data
· Proven track record of delivering end-to-end data products and analytics solutions.
· Preference for experience of using Git and DevOps ways of working.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Deep understanding of data quality management and issue resolution processes.
· Proven experience working with complex and large datasets, preferably in veterinary or healthcare domains or experience with working with P&O data
· Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
· Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data insights for diverse stakeholders.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.
· Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and work to tight deadlines, as well as support others with this.
· Track record of being learning-focused to improve technical and business skills.
