You will lead acquisitions of veterinary clinics and clinic groups in Poland for AniCura, part of Mars Veterinary Health. You own the process from the first conversation with an owner through valuation, negotiation and closing, and then hand the clinic to the integration team. The deals are often with vets who built their practice themselves, so the work is as much about trust as it is about numbers.
What you'll do
Identify and approach acquisition targets, and build a pipeline in a market where most clinics are independently owned
Build valuation models and investment cases, and present them to regional senior leadership
Negotiate terms with clinic owners, in Polish, and lead due diligence with external advisors
Work with finance, operations and integration teams so each deal delivers what the business case promised
Support the team's wider European growth plans where experience in Poland is useful
Travel regularly within Poland to visit clinics and meet owners in person, as most relationships and deals are built on site
The team
You will join the MVH Europe Business Development Team, reporting directly to the Business Development Senior Manager and working alongside experienced M&A, integration, and strategy professionals.
Operating in a dynamic, high-energy, and fast-paced healthcare environment, our team combines sharp commercial acumen and analytical rigor with a high-touch, relationship-first approach. We operate with high autonomy and cross-border collaboration, partnering closely with country management teams across brands like AniCura and Linnaeus to drive sustainable growth that supports high-quality patient care.
What we’re looking for
6+ years in M&A, corporate development, deal advisory, private equity or acquisition-led business development, with acquisitions you have personally taken from origination to close
Financial modelling skills: valuations, investment cases and budgets
Negotiation experience with founders or owner-managers, and the judgement to handle sensitive conversations
Experience in roll-up or buy-and-build strategies
Fluent Polish and English
A degree or equivalent experience
Experience in veterinary care, healthcare, dental or other multi-site clinic businesses is preferred, but not mandatory
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% of the time across clinic sites and attend regular in-person meetings at the Munich office.
