Role Overview
The Area Finance Business Partner acts as a key business partner to the Area Operations Director and the OU Leadership Team and as a strategic co-pilot to the OU Finance Director. The role supports the Area within the Operating Unit, driving financial performance, transparency, and informed decision-making.
With a strong focus on simplification and standardization, the Area Finance Business Partner strengthens financial management reporting, performance tracking (KPIs, business cases, budgeting and forecasting), and best practice sharing across countries. By translating financial data into clear insights, the role supports operational excellence, planning cycles, and strategic initiatives within MVH Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
• Lead and support the annual financial planning cycle for the Area.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking across multiple countries.
• Ensure financial plans align with operational priorities and strategic objectives.
Strategic Business Partnering
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to the OU Leadership Team and Area Operations Director.
• Co-pilot the OU Finance Director by providing insight, challenge, and financial perspective.
• Support OU business cases and strategic initiatives with robust financial analysis.
Performance Reporting & Insights
• Prepare and deliver management reporting packages covering financial performance and KPIs.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Drive consistency, transparency, and clarity in reporting across countries.
Standardization, Process Improvement & Automation
• Drive simplification and standardization of financial management reporting across the OU.
• Gather insights and share best practices between countries.
• Focus on continuous process improvement and optimization of reporting and accounting standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Accounting Team to drive automation, accuracy, and efficiency in financial processes and periodic reporting.
Ad-hoc Analysis & Stakeholder Support
• Support and drive ad-hoc analyses and queries from MVH Europe and the OU Leadership Team.
• Act as a bridge between central finance and local operations.

Education & Professional Qualifications
• University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
Knowledge / Experience
• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in finance, business control, or finance business partnering.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
• Proven experience translating financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Experience working in complex, multi-country or matrix organizations.
• Ability to build, optimize, and work with Business Intelligence solutions.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems, data warehouses, dashboards, and BI tools.
