Role Overview
The Internal Communications Director is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives that inform, engage, and align Associates with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The role focuses on fostering strong internal relationships, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring consistent, transparent messaging across all internal channels.
Operating as a strategic advisor to leadership and functional teams, the role ensures that internal communication strengthens the culture, drives performance, and builds understanding of MVH Europe’s priorities and transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Internal Communication Strategies: Leads the development of novel, best in class strategic business communications plans to communicate organizational goals, changes, and updates in a clear and engaging manner across a variety of Associate populations, ensuring that all employees are aligned with company priorities.
- Internal Communication Channels Management: Oversee the company’s internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, newsletters, knowledge library, email updates) to ensure consistent, transparent, and effective communication across the organization. Oversight of pan-European editorial calendar.
- Facilitate Leadership Communication: Partner with senior leadership to ensure they effectively communicate key messages to employees, addressing concerns and aligning teams around organizational goals. Manage on-going cadence of leadership touchpoints with Associates. Partner closely with External Communications Senior Director to ensure leadership narratives are communicated consistently and meaningfully internally.
- Advance Medical and Operational Leadership Internally: Strategic business partner to the Central Operations and Medical functions, ensuring operational priorities, medical projects, innovation, CMO thought leadership and L&D/field leadership development initiatives are effectively communicated in service of medical and operational priorities.
- Coordinate Employee Engagement Activities: Plan and organize internal events, such as leadership events, town hall meetings, employee surveys, recognition programs, and workshops, to promote engagement and foster a positive company culture.
- Change and Transformation Communications: Provides strategic change communications support to advance transformation efforts.
- Manage Crisis Communications Internally: In the event of internal challenges, manage communication to ensure clarity, transparency, and timely updates for all employees.
- Measure Effectiveness of Communication: Develop best practices of internal communications measurement that demonstrate objectives are being met and leaders are taking appropriate actions to engage Associates on key communications priorities

Education & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Professional certification in internal communications (e.g., IoIC, CIPR) is desirable.
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or related roles within multinational or matrix organizations.
- Proven experience managing internal communication tools and platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into engaging content.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior leadership to craft and deliver impactful communication.
- Experience working in an international environment and managing communication across multiple countries or cultures is a plus.
