AniCura’s Veterinary Graduate Programme is an international programme for newly graduated veterinarians working at an AniCura clinic or hospital. 

The aim of the programme is to offer a smooth transition from university to professional life, preparing the newly graduate for a lifelong, successful career in the veterinary profession. The programme places a strong emphasis on developing their skills to become confident, capable, and independent veterinarians.

The programme is open for recently graduated veterinarians working at AniCura clinics or hospitals in any of the AniCura countries, providing an opportunity to build an international network and share knowledge and experiences with colleagues from across Europe.

Programme Structure

The programme follows a hybrid approach, combining in-person practical workshops, interactive online webinars, and self-directed studies. Graduates acquire new skills and competencies through hands-on practice, working alongside mentors and colleagues. The training is integrated into regular working hours, ensuring professional development while performing in a clinical role.

Development and training

The programme equips graduates with a structured approach to consultations and the management of common primary and urgent care cases. Participants receive comprehensive training in both clinical and non-clinical skills, covering a broad range of topics such as internal medicine, emergency care, clinical communication, basic surgery, as well as health and wellbeing, communication, resilience, and self-leadership.

Mentorship

Throughout the programme, each graduate is supported by a dedicated clinic-based mentor, ensuring the development of essential skills and competencies for both personal and professional growth.

International networking

As part of this international graduate programme, participants engage with mentors, speakers, and fellow graduates from various countries, creating valuable connections across borders.
